YES! INTERNET!
Expect a really long post people.
A week's worth of it.
First off, I'm just gonna reflect on what I've gained form my stay in the UK.
I think the most obvious change it made was that it tamed me.
Tamed, silenced, humbled... Whatever you wanna call it.
I've learned to lay low and shut up.
Perhaps I've learned this too well.
Someone once asked me what happened to the loud, animated andrew of the past.
I never answered that question.
I suppose...
He's not dead.
That's one thing I'm sure of.
He has not been designated to the past tense yet.
I know that cause I can feel him inside me some times.
He really really wants to get out but something's holding him back.
I want him to surface as well but I can't figure out what's in his way..
Hmm. Maybe one day.
Yeah, I'll make a promise to myself.
That Andrew is gonna make an appearance one day.
Yeah.
I guess I've gotten stronger as well.
Being Chinese in an English community is not easy.
Especially in a boarding school with a few hundred people in it.
You're made to feel inferior.
You face racism.
But you cannot let it get to you.
Just plaster on whatever is hurled at you to create your own little shell.
The more they pile it on, the stronger it becomes.
Sigh.
Well those are the two main things I guess.
Obviously there's the knowledge gained about their culture and all that.
But all that's pretty boring.
Moving onto happier subjects, I bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows about a week and a half back.
Finished it the day after I bought it.
And I really liked it!
It's made me see Snape in a completely new light.
I like him more than I did before!
And that means that a certain Ms Chee out there must've been ecstatic when she read it.
Haha.
I'm not sure I liked the ending though.
It seemed just ever so slightly rushed.
Hrum.
Oh, I watched The Order of the Phoenix as well.
To be completely honest, I was slightly disappointed by it.
Especially when they decided to cut out Dumbledore's explanation to Harry.
Hrum.
But I liked what they did with Tonks and Bellatrix.
Looking forward to seeing them in the next film.
Oh and the battle in the Dept. of Mysteries.
Liked the idea of the black/white, ethereal, flying battle thing.
Thought it was quite cool.
Yeah so the Harry Potter front was pretty good.
Then of course meeting up with everyone!
Seeing faces I hadn't seen in a long time.
And going to church!
Gosh I miss PMC so much when I'm away...
Yeah ok I'm gonna end now cause my computers going funny.
Toodles.
