Hahaha. Negligence is hardly the word to describe my absence. Haven't posted in, what, a month? However long, it's too long, and I think that it's high time I did something about that.
SO. I guess the main point would be that I'm back home in Singapore! Haha you have no idea how happy I am to be back! Like, I'm ROO now instead of just Roo. (Oh by the way, this is gonna be a looong post. I got a whole month to cover. Bear with me folks.) So I got 2 months in Singapore. I got until early August. Hoping to be able to stay past National Day for various reasons. We'll see how it goes.
Ok Whenever I get back to Singapore, I ALWAYS look forward to going back to church. Honestly, it's one of the highlights of my trip back. This time was even better, cause we had RAW camp! Out of all the camps I've been to, THIS one was the most (there is no other owrd for it) EPIC. Hahaha. One of the reasons it was so awesome was that I really really felt God in this one. Most of the time, it's just like an extended hangout with friends, but this one really touched me. It was soo awesome, really. I mean, sure, it was real sweet hanging out with my friends for the 5 days of the camp. It was a blast! But you know, this time it was more than that. This was a truly uberpwnageomgoshawesomeriffic spiritual experience which I'm not gonna forget any time soon. Everything about it was so epic! Epic worship, epic games, epic prayer, epic speakers... ALL EPIC! Seriously EPIC. Major kudos and credits go out to: GOD, Camp Comm, Sub Comm, All the other Comms, GL Rachel, AGL Joel, SAGL Daniel, Mentor Nicholas, Group Faithfulness, Glenn Lim, All the other RAW Campers. Thank you soo much for being part of the experience. Hontoni arigatou gozaimashita~ A truly awesome 5 days. Pics posted below.
Narnia.
It's also been great catching up with old schoolmates! Some of them I've seen more recently than others but it's so cool seeing them again and how they've changed now that they're in different schools and all. Sadly, not all the changes are positive. I think I've lost a friend or 2 :( But hopefully, I'll be able to win them back again :) Sad to hear that Robert was leaving. I had absolutely NO CLUE he was taking off. Hopefully, we'll still be able to meet up. Like, if his breaks are at the same time as mine. tjat'd be awesome. Oh yeah Rob! Hahaha thanks for the dinner treat. EH, no jokes, it was a $35 steak! Rob's the man I'm telling you hahaha~ Oh, and I visited Temasek Poly. Geez the place is huge! It's like 10 times bigger than my school! I was just like OMGWTH :O It was massive! Hahaha but it was cool. Met up with some people and had a chat over lunch, like the good old days :) Oh and I met up with Qi Yang and Jerven too, man I haven't seen them in what, 2 years or something. Man, it was great seeing them again! I wanna see everyone else now too hahahaha! Like, a primary school reunion would be absolutely ace!
On a more serious note, during the RAW camp (refers to above), we were given a challenge to read the book of Mark over the course of 15 days. Luckily, I managed to do that, and I'm not gonna run through each chapter right now. But I WILL say this. It answered lots of questions I had. But still some are left a mystery. I shan't disclose them right now- I'd like to think more about them. Anyway, I really hope I can cultivate this as a habit - that I can make it a point to read my Bible EACH AND EVERY DAY. Which leads me to this point - can anyone recommend a good book to go onto after Mark? Responses will be much appreciated thanks very much. NOW. There's gonna be a new challenge. This 40 day prayer and fast. I think the name is pretty self explanatory. I still haven't decided what kind of fast I'll be doing.. Suggestions? Haha. I just pray that I'll be able to presevere and endure throughout the 40 days. Ganbatte to everyone else doing the 40 days too :)
Ok this verse was shared by Glenn Lim and I think I might make it my life verse. It's really really beautiful-
"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"
-Isaiah 40:31
Point of Difference
The tide is turning
This is redemption's hour
In the midst of a world lost for love
You are all we have now
Yhe lost returning
Salvation is all around
In the midst of the world broken down
You are all we have now
For You are God
And this hope is our's
So Father open the skies
Flood the earth with Your light
This is love
To break the world indifferent
Our hearts are burning
A fire that won't burn out
In the midst of a world that's grown cold
You are all we have now
The earth resounding
The anthem of your reknown
As we lift up our eyes
And look to Your glory
Call us out
Let the world see
You are God
And this hope is our's
So call us out
Let the world see You are God,
As we sing
So Father open the skies
Flood the earth with Your light
This is love
To break the world indifferent
As we lift up our eyes
Fill our hearts with Your fire
In a world of sin we'll be different, the difference
Our eyes are open
Every chain now broken
In this world
We are different
Let Your love become us
As we live to make You famous
In this world
We are different
So call us out
Let the world see
You are God,
As we sing
So call us out
Let the world see You are God
One and only
In this world
You are all we have now
