Hey everyone, I'm back from Penang with a bang and a bit of a tan! (Poor attempt at some sort of rhyme) Anyway, that's why I haven't been posting. If you've been wondering why then there's your answer folks. Anywho, that means I've missed out 6 days of devotional posting, but I'm not going to squeeze all those lost days into this post. I'll just focus on today's. BUT before that, I believe a little sharing on the Penang experience is due. It was alot more fun than I thought it would be. Lots of swimming and sun soaking. I even went parasailing!! Which was omgwthsuperduperuberpwnagenarnia fun! Definitely one of the more memorable events! AND THEN THER WAS THE FOOD! OMYGOODNESS. The char kway teow, the wan tan mee, the seafood was all just soo.... blatantdroolingonthetable-inlgy delicious. YUM hardly does the food justice. Of course, that does mean that I must've put on some weight.. Time to restrict myself :p
ANYWHOOO
Day23:Wow, can you believe it? Over half way through! It's flown by so quickly! Well the past week has presented a bit of a challenge to me. It was alot harder being consistent with my prayer and devotionals in Penang, cause there was so much to do and by the time you've done it all, you're absolutely knackered, so doing it everyday was no easy task. Thankfully though, I was just able to discipline myself enough to do so :) Hurrah. Smooth sailing from now on, hoist the sails and anchors away.
Today's message was another simple one. It's about TAKING ACTION in the fight against poverty. It's all well and good
saying that you want to help the poor, but if you mean what you say, then it's time to
do something. Todays devotional was basically a call to arms: Deny yourself, take up the cross, join the army that God has called us to join. Wage war against Poverty.
