Hey I'm Andrew, your average feather-in-his-cap, spring-in-his-step, sneaker-wearing, tongue-twisting, ecstacy-inducing, mind-bending, never-ending, trend-setting, floppy-fringed whatsisname. Lovable at first sight if you see me in the right light. Always willing to give second chances. And a third if you ask nicely enough. Hopelessly romantic and tragically retarded. Such a combination yields unpredictable results. Initially shy, softspoken and quiet. Unabashed, witty and loud after the ice has broken. Proud ympacter, God-seeker, salvation-finder, redemption-searcher. I'm not a WANNABE, I'm a GONNABE. Optimist with a pessimistic edge, like a lollipop coated with glass. Always strive to be perfect, very seldom am. Dreams enough to grow a pair of wings. Realistic enough to tear them up. Swings his moods like a monkey on a rope, but you seldom see the emotions fly. Ok so today (Friday) was probably the most eventful day of the entire week! So I'm superhappy! Hahaha. First up, went and visited my aunt down at Bukit Batok and had lunch and all that. And my cousin's getting married! Hahaha congrats man! Really awesome news! First cousin of mine to get married XD Partially cause he's also the oldest cousin I got haha.

After that was done, headed down to church for LGEE. Such a coincidence haha got on the same bus as Ben XD So anyway, in LGEE we went a little more in-depth into the topic of fasting. Like, what really is it, and how we should approach it and all that. Hahaha but like the whole meeting was really amusing. especailly dinner XD I think my intestines are clogged up with pearls (lol Alicia...) Anyway, the discussion was really helpful, not to mention relevant, seeing as I'm on the 40 day fast thing. Further understanding the whole concept of fasting was really useful so thanks Stef! :) Well yesterday was Day3 so today must be...

Day4:
Eto~ What I understood from today's topic was I guess... About this 'true' fasting. Which kind of makes sense. Like how the topics went from essentially 'what a false fast is' to 'what a true fast is' up to now - 'how do you carry out a true fast'. That's my take on it. So how DO you do it?

"True 'fasting,' therefore, is abstaining from things that divide the Church and destroy community"

I guess, applying that to MY fast, the computer has fantastic potential to destroy communities. It can make people anti-social and totally break down the bonds between, say, a family community. But that's only one part of the issue. What I gathered from today's LGEE was that not only should you abstain from such things during a fast, but during the time that you would normally spend on whatever it is, you should serve others and glorify God. So I pondered... How would I do this when cutting down on my computer time? Well recently I've been using the time going out with friends and family and strengthening the bonds between us. But maybe there's something more I can do? :) I'll wait and see :) Hahaha it's halfway through ONE week people! Ganbatte jia you! Still have plenty more to go! XD

Dear dear dearest viewers, before you read any further, I just thought I'd point out a few rules that I hope you'll follow while going through this lil' blog of mine. You wanna listen closely now, some of these rules, when broken, are punishable by death.

2) Mind your manners please! This really actually applies to your LIFE as well. Be polite :)
3) Leading on from point 2, I do not tolerate any forms of discrimination; be it racial, sexual, whatever it is. It is definitely NOT appreciated here. Take it somewhere else.
4) Maturity is a MUST. Please keep all comments mature! Name-calling goes under 'immature' so if you were planning on doing that, please change your mind right now.
5) In the same way that prejudice and discrimination are absolute no-no's. I have a zero-tolerance policy regarding insults directed towards my friends, family and religion. Please do refrain from making offensive remarks about those subjects.
